SCRAM™ is made from micrAgard™ wipe clean durable anti-bacterial, anti-microbial material. This along with the durable anti-microbial webbing and the anti-microbial hook and loop help to prevent cross-contamination.

If SCRAM™ becomes contaminated then it needs to be cleaned / decontaminated in accordance with the latest infection control procedures.

Please check the latest recommendations for the type of cleaning / decontamination required and solution strength (ppm) needed to perform the task.1

For example: for heavy virus contamination a chlorine-based disinfectant should be used, in the form of a solution at strength of 1,000ppm available chlorine 5 min (1,000 ppm (=1 tablet/ litre) dirty conditions.1, 2

Cleaning Recommendations

"Easy to Clean / Decontaminate"

Following the required exposure time,  thoroughly rinse detergent solution off with clean water and allow to dry naturally. It is important to ensure SCRAM™ is completely dry before putting it back into service. The reason for this is that water could affect the internal foam within the lining of the bags and if the foam inside retains any moisture it could affect the integrity over time.

NOTE: SCRAM™ bags should never be machine-washed or tumble-dried.

In our testing we left the bag in the Actichlor™ Plus (1,000ppm) solution for 10min, twice as long than the required amount of time,1, 2 then thoroughly rinsed all detergent solution off with clean water and allow to dry naturally to evaluate the impact to the bag. This resulted in no damage to the bag, the colours were not affected and there was no impact on the quality of the prints.
